ZEE FY14 consolidated revenues up at Rs 44.2 bn; ad revenues up 21%

Zee Entertainment Enterprises has reported consolidated revenues of Rs 44,217 million for the financial year ended March 31, 2014. Consolidated operating profit for the year stood at Rs 12,043 million, recording a growth of 26.2 per cent. Profit after tax for the year stood at Rs 8,900 million.
Advertising revenues for the full year increased by 21.2 per cent to Rs 23,801 million. For the fourth quarter the advertising revenues were recorded at Rs 5,824 million, recording a growth of 21.5 per cent over Q4 FY13.
Subscription revenues for the full year stood at Rs 18,022 million, recording a growth of 11.0 per cent, while for Q4 FY14, subscription revenues were recorded at Rs 4,635 million.
Commenting on the results of the company Subhash Chandra, Chairman, ZEE said, “Our performance during the quarter reflects investments that ZEE is making to grow its business and market share. Despite the slowdown in overall spends, ZEE continues to grow its business at a healthy pace. The network shares are on an uptrend, buoyed with the addition of new channels in the network.”
Punit Goenka, MD and CEO, ZEE added here, “Fiscal 2014 has been a good year both on operating as well as financial parameters. Consolidated revenues increased 19.5 per cent to Rs 44.2 billion, driven by strong growth in advertising, domestic subscription and syndication revenues.”
