Veteran Journalist Utpal Chowdhary joins Sapphire Media Group as Chief Managing Editor

Renowned journalist Utpal Chowdhary has joined Sapphire Media Group as Chief Managing Editor, marking a significant move in the Indian media landscape. The group has recently launched its 24x7 national channel, India Daily, which is expected to be rebranded soon. Sapphire Media Group also operates 92.7 Big FM, the newspaper Janbawana, and a growing network of digital and YouTube platforms.

With over 30 years of journalistic experience, Utpal has held senior editorial roles at some of India’s most respected news organizations. He began his career with Nalini Singh and Aaj Tak, later serving as Executive Editor at Star News and ABP News, and most recently as Head of Input at India TV.

Widely respected for his editorial acumen and deep understanding of current affairs, Utpal holds a Master’s degree in History from Delhi University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism from the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC), New Delhi.
