TRAI extends deadline for receipt of comments on draft second amendment

The regulatory authority said that on the request of some stakeholders, the last date for receipt of written comments has been extended from August 22 to August 29, 2019

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has extended the time for receipt of comments on ‘Draft (Second Amendment) to The Telecommunication (Broadcasting and Cable) Services Standards of Quality of Service and Consumer Protection (Addressable Systems) Regulations 2017’.

The regulatory authority had released a draft regulation on August 9 inviting written comments from stakeholders by August 22, 2019.

However, a release from TRAI said, ‘on request of some of the stakeholders, the last date for receipt of written comments has been extended up to August 29. It has also been decided that no request for any further extension of time for submission of comments shall be entertained.”
