Senior TV journalist Sant Prasad Rai is likely to join the India Today Group. While there has been no official confirmation yet regarding his exact role, sources indicate that he may take on the responsibility of Consulting Editor at the group’s Hindi news channel, Aaj Tak.

Sant Prasad Rai had resigned from ABP Network in September 2024, where he was serving as Senior Vice President (News & Production) at ABP News. He had been associated with the network for nearly two years and played a key role in editorial and production leadership during his tenure.

Prior to ABP Network, Rai was associated with the TV9 Network, where he served as Managing Editor of the Hindi news channel TV9 Bharatvarsh. Before that, he had two stints with India TV. He joined the channel again in May 2018, marking his second innings with the network, having earlier served as Senior Executive Editor from June 2015 to July 2017.

Before rejoining India TV, Rai was associated with Zee Media from July 2017 to April 2018, where he worked as Editor (Output). Notably, this too was his second tenure with the Zee Network.
