Senior television journalist and news anchor Rana Yashwant has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Editor-in-Chief of the Hindi news channel News India. He confirmed the development in a conversation with Samachar4Media.

Earlier this year, in March, Rana Yashwant concluded his tenure with ITV Network and joined Live Times. During his time there, he launched a weekly programme titled Facts and Figures and remained highly active on digital platforms. His YouTube channel has around 350,000 subscribers. Several of his reports during the recent Bihar election coverage received wide attention.

Before joining Live Times, Rana Yashwant had been associated with ITV Network since 2013. He served as Editor-in-Chief of the network’s Hindi news channel India News, where he also hosted the programme Ardh Satya. In November 2023, he was promoted to the position of Editor-in-Chief, having earlier worked as Managing Editor.

Rana Yashwant has extensive experience in television journalism. Over the years, he has held key editorial roles at leading media organisations such as Aaj Tak, Zee News and Mahuaa TV.

For his significant contribution to Hindi journalism, he has received several prestigious awards. His programme Ardh Satya has been honoured with the Red Ink Award and the ENBA Award. He has also been recognised with honours including the Bharat Gaurav Samman, the Rex Karmaveer Global Fellowship and Award, and the Rajiv Gandhi Global Excellence Award.
