India TV ropes in QW Naqvi as Editorial Director
Naqvi will be responsible for the entire editorial function of India TV. His last stint was with Aaj Tak

India TV has brought on board QW Naqvi as Editorial Director. In his new role, Naqvi will be responsible for the entire editorial function of India TV and will report to Rajat Sharma, Chairman & Editor-in-Chief, India TV.
Naqvi has been best known for a long time as the behind-the-scene father-figure of Aaj Tak. He completed his contractual obligations with the channel last year. He has been part of the top management at TV Today, where he created editorial workflow templates for optimal resource utilisation.
Welcoming Naqvi on board, Rajat Sharma said, “Naqvi is a hugely respected professional, with his experience, knowledge and enigma, we definitely see India TV growing faster than ever in its quest to reign supreme in the Hindi news genre and beyond.”
He further said, “With elections round the corner, I think we are on our way to create a right mix for our viewers and advertisers alike.”
Starting his career in 1980 as a trainee journalist (Hindi) with The Times of India Group, Naqvi has served at Navbharat Times, and later at Ravivar, where he served as Chief Reporter. Before moving to Aaj Tak, he was part of the team that started the Hindi daily Chauthi Duniya. At Chauthi Duniya, his innovations with layout design gained him the reputation as the man with defining ideas.
