BCCI likely to replace Vivo as IPL title sponsor amid growing backlash
According to sources, BCCI has decided to put Vivo on a year-long moratorium
After the growing backlash over Chinese title sponsors, highly placed sources have told e4m that BCCI is now looking at new sponsorship options for IPL to steer clear of any controversy.
“BCCI has decided to put Vivo on a year-long moratorium and the deal with Vivo will be pushed back by a year," said the source on condition of anonymity.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has invited bids for the Team Kit Sponsor and Official Merchandising Partner Rights through a tender process.
The winning bidder will be granted the right to be the Kit Sponsor and/ or the Official Merchandising Partner and various other associated rights.
