BARC Week 52: Indian Idol Finale most watched show in Urban market
Among channels, Zee Anmol continued to lead overall and rural markets, and Star Plus retained the top position in rural market
Zee Anmol continued to be the leader in the overall market with 783 million impressions, followed by Zee TV on the second slot with 667 million impressions and Star Bharat on the third slot with 650 million impressions, according to Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) India Week 52 data.
In the top five programme category, Zee Anmol’s ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ bagged the first slot with 14.0 million impressions, followed by Colors’ ‘Naagin3’ and Sony Entertainment Television’s Indian Idol on second and third positions with 12.2 and 12.1 million impressions, respectively. Zee TV’s ‘Kundali Bhagya’ stood on the fourth position with 11.0 million impressions. ‘Radhakrishn’ on Star Bharat bagged the fifth spot with 10.6 million impressions.
Hindi GEC Urban
Star Plus retained its leadership position this week as well with 429 million impressions. Sony Entertainment Television climbed up at number two from number four, with 424 million impressions. Sony was followed by Zee TV on the third spot with 410 million impressions. Colors and Star Bharat bagged the fourth and fifth spots with 379 and 337 million impressions, respectively.
Sony Entertainment Television’s Indian Idol Finale grabbed the leadership position in the programme category with 8.4 million impressions. They were followed by Colors’ ‘Naagin3’ on the second spot with 8.1 million impressions. Zee TV’s Kundali Bhagya and Sab TV’s Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma took the third and fourth slots with 7.1 and 6.4 million impressions. Zee TV’s Kumkum Bhagya bagged the fifth slot with 6.0 million impressions.
Hindi GEC Rural
Zee Anmol too continued to lead the rural market with 636 million impressions, followed by Sony Pal on the second spot with 378 million impressions and Star Utsav on the third with 375 million impressions. Dangal TV and Rishtey stood on the fourth and fifth positions with 358 million and 343 million impressions, respectively.
Zee Anmol’s ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ continued to lead the list of top five programmes with 11.6 million impressions, followed by Dangal TV’s ‘Ramayan’ on the second slot with 7.8 million impressions and Zee Anmol’s ‘Ek Main Aur Ek Tu’ on the third slot with 7.6 million impressions. ‘Mahek’ on Zee Anmol bagged the fourth slot and Sony Pal’s ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma’ stood on the fifth spot with 7.3 million and 6.1 million impressions, respectively.
