Radio Mirchi unveils Purani Jeans Film Festival with 'Sholay'

Radio Mirchi kickstarted its Purani Jeans Film Festival on January 14, 2011, by showcasing one of the greatest Bollywood films of all time, 'Sholay'.

Commenting on this endeavour by Mirchi, Tapas Sen, CPO, ENIL, said, “We at Radio Mirchi are constantly trying to give our listeners something unique, not just through our shows but also by creating opportunities where our listeners can interface with the brand and where the Mirchi Experience can move out of their radio sets and touch the people in many intimate ways. ‘Purani Jeans’ has always been very popular among Mirchi fans, and we are pleased to offer it on a grander scale to our listeners, where they can delight in the pure brilliance of the golden era of Indian cinema.”

Delhiites welcomed the start of the Purani Jeans Film Festival by turning out in droves to watch the eternal blockbuster of all time, ‘Sholay’, at Big Cinema – Odeon. The retro ambience, the golden tunes playing at the background, and the presence of the stars made it a gala affair. To recreate the mesmerising charm of ‘Sholay’ once again, the venue was resplendent with the look and feel of the movie.
