The Atlantic, the 167-year-old Washington DC-based magazine, is reportedly increasing the number of its print issues from 10 to 12, returning to a monthly format for the first time since 2002.
The Editor-in-Chief Jeffrey Goldberg told a publication that the expansion plan is a testament to the team's “excellent journalism.”
The Atlantic turned profitable again this year, having crossed the one million subscription mark. The magazine doubling down on its print format comes as a welcome aberration at a time when digital reigns supreme.
