Further strengthening its base in the Hindi heartland, Patrika has launched its Satna edition. The paper has an initial print run of 25,000 copies

Patrika launches its seventh edition in MP

Patrika Group recently launched its 31st edition from Satna region. The paper is already present in different cities of Madhya Pradesh such as Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Gwalior, Ujjain and Ratlam.

With a cover price of Rs 2 for four days in a week and Rs 2.50 for three days, the Satna edition covers five districts – viz., Satna, Rewa, Panna, Sidhi and Singrauli. The initial print run of the paper is 25,000 copies.

Talking to exchange4media about the objective behind launching Satna edition, Manoj Nair, Branch Head, Patrika, Satna said, “We had researched extensively about existing newspapers and their standing in the market, and felt that they had lost trust amongst local people and failed to raise long due issues.”

The group has planned various promotional activities through surveys, outdoor & activations. The survey activity have knocked more than 50,000 household and received almost 30,000 orders in last four months. The outdoor campaign highlights local issues at all prominent sites in the city. Also through banners, auto branding, mobile vans etc. The group is creating awareness through interactive events with locals, door to door sales pitch, special events on occasions like Holi and water day.

Talking about the competition Nair, said, “We don't think we have to compete with any existing player because our approach in running the newspaper is totally different which is high on credibility and fearless journalism.”

The group is targeting advertisers from different verticals to advertise with the latest edition.
