Veteran actor Satish Shah, beloved for his iconic comic roles in television and film, passed away on Saturday at the age of 74. He won hearts with performances in shows like Sarabhai vs Sarabhai—which made him a household name—and films including Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro, Hum Saath Saath Hain, Kal Ho Naa Ho, and Main Hoon Na.
According to media reports, Filmmaker Ashoke Pandit confirmed Shah’s death, saying, Satish Shah, died around 2:30 pm today due to kidney failure.
His cremation will take place today, he said.
