Sony India appoints Innocean Worldwide India as creative agency

Innocean Worldwide India will be responsible for Sony's entire consumer electronics portfolio

Sony India has appointed Innocean Worldwide India as its creative agency. The multi-agency pitch was concluded in the first week of June. 

The participating agencies had to demonstrate their capabilities in strategy, creative ideation and integrated thinking across a slew of product categories.
Innocean will be responsible for the entire consumer electronics portfolio of Sony which includes BRAVIA televisions, Alpha series DSLRs and Headphones among others.
Yoichiro Hotta, Head, Brand Activation, Sony India said: “We set out to seek an agency that is willing to partner us and invest in understanding the rapidly changing consumer landscape and the ever dynamic consumer touch-points. Their inputs will be important in shaping our brand’s communication across product categories making it more impactful and engaging.” 
Divya Rao, Head, Marketing Communication, Sony India said, “We saw a capable and committed team in Innocean willing to work with us in a collaborative spirit.” 
According to Vivek Srivastava, Joint Managing Director of Innocean Worldwide India, “We at Innocean are grateful to the management and marketing team at Sony India for trusting us with their brand communication mandate. We will strive to further the aura of Sony in all the relevant product categories with our ideas.”
The work on the brand commences immediately as the sales expect a major boost due to mega sporting events, regional festivals and the primary festival season.
“We are all set and ready to roll on an immediate basis with any briefs that come our way from Sony India. Every marketing opportunity and aperture will be capitalised upon as we progress,” said Arjun Modayil, Executive Director, Innocean.
