Ranveer's edgy personality makes Deadpool localised: Vijay Singh, CEO, Fox Star Studios

With the most awaited Marvel movie 'Deadpool 2' hitting the screens tomorrow Fox Star Studios is making sure that the movie gets its takers from regional market as well. The excitement around it picked up when they brought in Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh to voice the Hindi version of 'Deadpool 2.’
The actor took to his Twitter account to announce this news tagging Hollywood actor and Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds. He wrote, “Astonishing how effectively I’ve managed to out-crass my Canadian counterpart @VancityReynolds. Never realised how fulfilling & rewarding foul Hindi language can be! #Deadpool2Hindi @FoxStarIndia.”
While Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds responding to Ranveer Singh said, "Well if I tried to curse in Hindi, pretty sure there would be an international incident.” This Twitter banter between the actors went viral on social media and created a huge buzz amongst both their fan base.

Deadpool is a huge brand in India, but for this installment we made sure that the character becomes even more accessible to fans across markets - like for the Hindi dub, we approached Ranveer since his wit and edgy personality was a perfect fit with Deadpool!”
Fox Studio claims that the Hindi-dubbed trailers were the highest viewed trailers of all time for any Hollywood film in India on YouTube. To expand its reach across India the trailers were dubbed in other regional languages as well like Marathi, Bhojpuri and Punjabi. Some of them even hit two million views each.
Continuing the localization effort, one of the top Indian YouTube sensations, Bhuvan Bam of ‘BB ki Vines’ fame was pulled in to give voice for the character Dopinder in the dubbed version. The internet star is also creating viral content for the film across his social platforms.
The movie ‘Deadpool 2’ also partnered with beverage brands like Budweiser and snack Pringles for co-branded TVCs. The former held some on-ground activities at different locations in Mumbai with the hashtag BudxDP2. Pringles also organised a contest on its social media accounts with Deadpool merchandise as giveaways.
On merchandise front Titan Fastrack associated with the movie for a special line of limited edition pieces this month called the Deadpool Collection. Priced at Rs 995, these limited edition collectible watches from Fastrack come in 10 variants. It can be pre-booked from online ontitan.co.in and Fastrack stores. Fans also have a chance of winning watches from the Fastrack Deadpool Collection by participating in the #FlashYourFastrack campaign.
