India sparkles for Coca-Cola as the beverage major posts 14% rise in net profit
Coca-Cola India reported revenues of Rs 2,380 cr for the financial year 2018-19
Coca-Cola India Private Limited has reported its revenues for the financial year 2018-19 as Rs 2,380 crore, an 11 % jump since the last financial year. The company further reported a net profit of Rs 632 crore during the same fiscal year. This is a 14 % increase from the last financial year.
The company’s total expenses for the fiscal were reported as Rs 1,396 cr, according to financial data accessed by business intelligence platform, Tofler.
Recently, the beverage company said that India is now the fourth-largest market globally for its brand of premium bottled water called 'smartwater'. “Due to broad-based growth across the majority of key markets, partially offset by a decline in Japan, volume growth was led by Southeast Asia, China and India,” the brand said in its recent release.
Globally, Coca-Cola reported net revenue growth of 8% to $9.5 billion during the quarter. The signature Coca-Cola brand posted a retail value growth of 6% globally (year-to-date).
The brand has set a target to reach 90,000 outlets by the end of 2019.
Recently Coca Cola has also taken a big lead over arch-rival PepsiCo in cricket-related advertising this peak summer season, having signed sponsorship deals for the upcoming Indian Premier League and the Cricket World Cup with Star India and ICC, respectively.For more updates, be socially connected with us on
