Over the last 18 years, exchange4media Conclave, the flagship event for the exchange4media group, has served as the platform of choice for decision-makers in the media and advertising industry to discuss trends that assist them in growing the overall business. Last year, exchange4media extended the reach of the event to create an exclusive South India edition. This year, the second exchange4media Conclave-South will be held on November 30 at the Taj MG Road Bangalore. The theme of the Conclave is ‘Emotional Connect & The Distracted Consumer’, and we have prominent marketers across two panels, who will delve deeper into how to build stronger connect with the consumer.

The topic for the first panel discussion is ‘Objects of Desire – Creating the Emotional Connect’. The moderator for this panel discussion is  Kishankumar Shyamalan, Managing Partner, Wavemaker India, and the panel members are Ritu Gupta, Director Marketing – India & ANZ, Consumer & Small Business, Dell; Sanjeev Shukla, Group Chief Marketing Officer, Muthoot Pappachan Group; Mayuri Saika, Head Marketing, Roca Bathroom Products; Anand Pathak, CMO, Netmeds;  Mark Titus, GM – Marketing, Nippon Paints;  Pradeep Hejmadi, Group CEO, Aidem Ventures and  Shridhar Mishra, Vice President- Digital Sales, Asianet News Network. Some talking points the panel will throw light on are the challenges in creating emotional connect, the marketing mantra to connect emotions with the TG, the emergence of branded content as a platform to build emotional connect and how does an emotional connect help build brand and sales.

The topic for the second panel discussion is ‘Market to Goldfish’ – The Art of Creating an Effective Marketing Strategy’. It will be moderated by Vaishali Verma, CEO, Initiative India, and the panel members are Kartikeya Sharma, VP Marketing - South Asia, AB InBev; Srinivasa Rao, Senior Vice President- Marketing, Lifestyle International; Simeran Bhasin, Co-Founder, Brag; Rajkumar Paranthaman, Marketing Head,  AirAsia India;  Sunay Bhasin, CMO, MTR; and C Vinod Hayagriv, Managing Director & Director, C. Krishniah Chetty Group of Jewellers. The panellist will give their insights on what makes for an effective campaign, the challenges in creating an effective marketing strategy, and what are the key pointers to be kept in mind when creating a marketing strategy.
