In response to an allegation of sexual misconduct against Russell Barrett, CCO, BBH India, the agency has said that it is “looking into the matter on priority.”

In a statement shared with exchange4media an agency spokesperson said: "We have taken note of the incident reported on Twitter. Since the allegations are serious, we are looking into the matter on priority. We would like to reiterate that BBH India has a zero-tolerance policy towards any type of workplace misconduct and in case we find any evidence to substantiate the allegations, we will take necessary action as per company policy."

On Monday evening Sandhya Menon (@therestlessquill) made public a complaint that she received against Russell Barrett three months ago. The allegation has been made by an ex-employee who was working directly under Barrett four years ago.

In the text messaged shared with Menon, the woman accused Barrett of coercion. She alleges that Barrett forced himself on her and asked to “have sex with him". She says that she finally “allowed things to get physical” because she “wanted him to calm down” so that she could leave.
