Bollywood actor Salman Khan who turned 53 on Thursday has also completed nearly 30 years in the movie industry. Throughout his career Khan has endorsed several brands. Even before his entry to the movie industry, Khan was associated with brands like Campa Cola, Limca Soft Drink, Hero Honda Bikes and Double Bull shirts.
Khan made his debut in the advertisement world in the 80s with his endorsing Limca. From soft drink brands to the Bombay Municipal Corporation, Khan has endorsed a variety of brands since then.
He also launched the Being Human Foundation in 2007 and the organization’s funding primarily comes from the sales of Being Human—a clothing brand which is popular in India and abroad.
According to industry experts, the Being Human brand has helped Khan to grow as a brand and in losing the ‘bad boy’ image to an extent.
Through a variety of roles, Khan has carved a niche for himself in the film industry. He made his debut in Bollywood with a supporting role in the 1988 movie Biwi Ho To Aisi. His first leading role in a Bollywood movie was in the 1989 romance-drama Maine Pyar Kiya. The success of the movie propelled Khan’s career.
Even while having a successful film career, Khan grabbed the headlines for all the wrong reasons like the blackbuck hunting and arms violations cases. He was also accused in the hit-and-run case.
A huge turning point came in the actor’s career with the movie Wanted became a huge box office success. His 2010 release Dabangg broke several box office records and became the highest opening week grossing Bollywood movie. He made his television debut as host in 2008 with 10 Ka Dum.
