20 brands to take part in 8th edition of Maruti Suzuki Arena Mumbai Comic Con

Nearly 20 brands across different categories will be part of the 8th edition of pop culture extravaganza Maruti Suzuki Arena Mumbai Comic Con.
Some of the big names include Amazon Prime, TVS, Vodafone, Uber Eats, Redbull, Paytm, Zoomcar, Whistling Woods, AXN, Swatch, Hot Wheels and Grabon.
About the first-time association with scooter brand TVS, Jatin Varma, Founder, Comic Con India, said, “We feel our show is very active on a two-wheeler because a lot of the audience that comes in often opts for two-wheelers. TVS is promoting their motor scooter TVS Ntorq 125. They have integrated that into a comic book and created characters out of it. It’s very different.”
Brands like AXN, Amazon Prime Video and Hot Wheels have set up ‘fan experience zones’ for visitors. Title sponsor Maruti Suzuki Arena has set up a performance-packed circuit for those who like to test their speed, stamina and endurance in demanding scenarios.
Maruti Suzuki came on board a few years back as sponsors for two shows in Delhi and Mumbai. “The response was so good that they entered a three-year agreement with us for all cities. So they are our title sponsor till 2020. We have realised brands are very interested in the audience that we are tapping into.”
Mumbai Comic Con is scheduled to be held on December 22 and 23. Comic Con India has turned out to be an attractive property for brands to launch new products. Last year, Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus India took announced their limited edition variant, inspired by Star Wars, at this event. It came on board with Twitter as an in-stream video sponsor of exclusive content from Comic Con India shows.
This also helped them reach out to their extended audience in India and comic fans around the world with exclusive content from the events.
