The brands at the top of India’s 2026 rankings
At the top of the rankings is WhatsApp (60.5). Its position reflects how commonly the platform is used in everyday communication, with familiarity and ease of use shaping how consumers perceive the brand.
In second place, YouTube (58.7) stands out for its broad relevance. For many urban Indians, it is used across different moments in the day, spanning entertainment, information, and learning.
Google ranks third (56.6). Its performance highlights the continued importance of being seen as reliable and useful, particularly in a fast-moving digital environment.
Rounding out the top five are Amazon (55.2) and Google Pay (54.6). Both brands reflect India’s increasing comfort with digital-first services across shopping and payments. Together, these brands are characterised by regular use and strong familiarity, which is reflected in their overall brand health scores.

Beyond the leaders: Brands on the rise
YouGov Best Brand Rankings 2026 also highlight brands gaining momentum. India’s most improved brand list highlights brands with largest year-on-year increases in brand health, based on changes in their overall Index scores.
Leading this list is Blinkit, which records a 6.3-point year-on-year increase, taking its overall Index score to 19.4. The movement reflects a notable shift in how the brand is perceived compared with the previous year.
The Most Improved rankings offer an early view of where consumer perceptions are changing fastest, helping identify brands that are strengthening their position even if they are not yet among the largest or most established names.

YouGov Best Brand Rankings 2026 are powered by YouGov’s always-on brand tracker, YouGov BrandIndex. The rankings draw on over six million consumer surveys across 28 markets, using Index scores measured between 1 January 2025 and 31 December 2025. The Index score is an average of six key brand perception metrics: namely General Impression, Quality, Value, Satisfaction, Reputation, and Recommendation.
