India’s triumph in the 2026 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup final at Ahmedabad sparked celebrations across the country, but some of the memorable moments unfolded right on social media. Fast bowler Arshdeep Singh shared a series of Instagram reels during the post-match celebrations at the Narendra Modi Stadium and dressing room, capturing playful exchanges with teammates and coaches after India lifted the trophy.

While most players were still soaking in the moment with teammates, family and fans in the stadium, Arshdeep was already turning the celebrations into quick reels that mixed humour with inside jokes.

In one video, Arshdeep was seen standing next to Sanju Samson, playfully referencing the long-running fan slogan “Justice for Sanju Samson.” Smiling at the camera, he joked, “Paaji, justice milgaya,” celebrating his significant contribution in the team.

Another reel featured India head coach Gautam Gambhir, who is widely known for his serious on-field persona. Spotting Gambhir smiling amid the celebrations, Arshdeep couldn’t resist teasing him with the line, “Paaji, kade hass vi leya karo yaar.” The playful remark quickly became one of the most widely shared clips post-match.

Next reel featured Ishan Kishan, who had contributed a half-century in the final. In the video, Arshdeep prompted him with the phrase Paaji, ek Bihari?”, to which Kishan responded enthusiastically, “Sab pe bhari!”  a popular expression celebrating Bihari pride.

Food-delivery platform Swiggy joined the comments section writing, Litti chokha power,” a nod to the well-known Bihari dish, adding another layer of pride.

Arshdeep’s humour didn’t stop there. In another reel alongside Akshar Patel, he delivered one of the most quoted lines from the celebrations:
“Ek bapu ne azaadi dilayi… aur ek bapu ne trophy.”

Together, the reels offered fans a rare look at the team’s candid celebrations, moments that usually unfold away from broadcast cameras but now thanks to Arshdeep, fans get to celebrate alongside their favourite players via social media.

The clips quickly became a hit online, with fans enjoying the team’s humour just as much as the victory itself. One user wrote, Arshdeep Singh winning the World Cup and the reels game at the same time.” Another joked, “Someone give him the Social Media Player of the Tournament award.” A third fan commented, “That ‘smile sometimes’ line to Gambhir is pure comedy.” Others loved the Kishan moment, with one post reading, “‘Ek Bihari sab pe bhari’ right after a World Cup win - iconic.”

Arshdeep’s reels became a highlight of the post-match celebrations, proof that sometimes the most memorable moments after a victory are not just the trophy lifts, but the jokes shared between teammates once the pressure is gone.

As a user sums it up, “These reels show the side of cricket we don’t usually see, just teammates enjoying a big win.”
