Sporty Solutionz to distribute IPL in Pakistan & Sri Lanka

Sporty Solutionz, a sports rights management company, has entered into an agreement with Sony MSN to acquire the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2012 broadcast sub-licensing rights for Indian sub-continent territories, namely, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

Sports Solutionz announced that the broadcasters for both the territories have been finalised.

Commenting on the deal, Sporty Solutionz’s CEO, Ashish Chadha said, “We are extremely fortunate and proud to be associated with the Indian Premier League. We are thankful to Sony MSN for giving us this opportunity.”

He shared, “Though Pakistani players are not playing in the IPL, it’s an international game and everybody is interested in it. There are lots of buyers for this particular property in Pakistan.”

Sporty Solutionz had earlier acquired the worldwide rights to market and license Bangladesh Premier League during the event’s opening season. The firm also has plans to invest in various sports properties other than cricket.
