To amplify its ongoing Exchange Mela, Smart Bazaar brought its core value proposition to life in Lucknow with a striking larger-than-life Taraazu installation at a prominent city hotspot.

The towering weighing scale visually balanced heaps of old newspapers, clothes and utensils against shopping vouchers — dramatizing a simple, high-impact message: ‘Purana Becho Mehenga, Naya Khareedo Sasta’

Under the Exchange programme, customers can bring old newspapers, clothes and household items to stores and receive ₹100 per kg in shopping coupons redeemable across categories.

The installation quickly evolved from an OOH spectacle into a participative city activation. Passersby engaged in a ‘Guess the Weight’ contest hosted on-ground, with winners receiving instant vouchers. Office-goers paused mid-commute, families calculated potential savings, and college students turned the scale into a social challenge.
