At the WION World Pulse Summit held in New Delhi, Zee Group founder and mentor Dr. Subhash Chandra delivered a powerful message emphasising that the future of the world will not be determined by any single country or ideology, but collectively by the global community.

Dr. Chandra said the summit aims to examine current global issues. He noted that WION, meaning “World Is One,” reflects global interconnectedness and draws from the idea of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” – the world as one family.

Dr. Chandra stated that the channel was created with the vision of bringing global perspectives together under one platform. In today’s challenging times, when conflicts and geopolitical tensions dominate global discussions, he stressed that WION aims to promote unity, dialogue, and balanced journalism.

He questioned whether humanity is truly living up to the idea of a global family, urging deeper reflection on international cooperation and mutual understanding.

Highlighting India’s growing global influence, Dr. Chandra said the country has become an important voice in global affairs. He noted that India’s expanding role in global decision-making reflects its rising economic and strategic importance.

Dr. Chandra also spoke about the responsibility of the media in the digital age. While social media has increased the flow of information, it has also contributed to misinformation and confusion. In such an environment, he emphasized that credible media organizations must provide accurate reporting, context, and clarity to audiences worldwide.

He further underlined the importance of dialogue and thoughtful communication in today’s world, stating that platforms like WION can play a significant role in fostering constructive conversations across nations.

The summit, according to organizers, aims to bring together diverse viewpoints and encourage discussions that contribute to a better and more inclusive global future.
