Taboola-e4m Round Table: How EduTech has enabled a new era of marketing

Taboola, the global player in AdTech solutions, in association with exchange4media Group recently organised a round table event on the theme “From Consideration to Enrollment: How Can Online Marketing Help”, at The Leela Ambience Hotel, Gurugram.

The round table brought together thought leaders from the education sector to discuss ways in which digital has impacted the sector and how digital experience will shape future conversations in the sector.

Some of the attendees at the round table moderated by Gomti Shankar, Country Manager India, Taboola included: Prateek Chatterjee, Sr. VP Marketing, NIIT, Amrita Kapur Suri, Head Marketing, Ebix Smart classes, Atit Mehta, Marketing Head, Byju’s, Amit Phull, CMO, Ansal University, Manoj Madhavan Kutty of SRM University, Dr Hari Shankar Shyam of Sharda University, Deepak Sharma, Pearson VUE, Kapil Naka, Co-Founder, Digital Vidya, Dr Kulveen Trehan of IP University, Sajal Mukherjee, Director, Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication, Dr. Sanjay Gupta, VC, World University of Design and Pratham Mittal of Lovely Professional University.

Speaking about the impact of technology on traditional education, Atit Mehta of Byju’s stated that tech has enabled a new possibility in the domain and Byju’s with its right mix of process, product and people is ushering a new era marked by storytelling.

“As far as marketing and education is concerned, it has moved away from print and now we are witnessing a higher order of marketing strategy at play”, he said.

Prateek Chatterjee of NIIT spoke about the need to make education more immersive and cited the example of how NIIT continues to maintain a leadership position through its use of the interactive curriculum.

Dr. Hari Shankar Shyam of Sharda University spoke about the prevalence of mobile and how video as a tool has become an effective marketing strategy for education institutions.

The Taboola team also presented case studies to underline how it uses technology for lead generation and helps businesses across domains reach out to targeted customers.
