After the Online Gambling Bill 2025 was passed by Parliament, Pokerbaazi ceased all real money gambling services. The platform made the announcement on Friday, joining Dream11, My11Circle, Mobile Premier League (MPL), Zupee, and Probo as the most recent significant participants to shut down.

In an official release, the company said, "With a very heavy heart, we announce that PokerBaazi will be pausing its operations in compliance with The Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Bill, 2025. Effective immediately, no real money games will be offered on our platform."

The firm stated that all real money games hosted on its platform are subject to the suspension, which takes effect immediately. Pokerbaazi has guaranteed that money will stay safe, with complete access to wallets and withdrawals, even though customers can no longer take part in paid competitions. Throughout the changeover, users will continue to receive assistance from its player relations team.

The implementation of the new regulation, which forbids real money gaming in India altogether, is now crucial to Pokerbaazi's survival. The bill could completely transform the online gambling market once it becomes law after receiving presidential assent.

Meanwhile, investors are also concerned about the suspension. At an estimated ₹800 crore, Nazara Technologies Ltd. owns a 46.07% share in Moonshine Technologies, the parent company of Pokerbaazi.
