NDTV'S Nilanjana Bhaduri Jha to head HT Digital?
Nilanjana Bhaduri Jha, Chief Content Officer, NDTV Convergence, has decided to end her innings with the English news website where she devoted over 10 years of her professional life
Nilanjana Bhaduri Jha, Chief Content Officer, NDTV Convergence has finally decided to end her innings with the English news website where she devoted over 10 years of her professional life. Jha who is all set to join Hindustan Times from April 2, 2018, will bid farewell to NDTV on March 16, 2018.
Although there is still no confirmation of her designation in Hindustan Times, exchange4Media has been told that she will join as the group's Digital Editor and head all digital operations of content including hindustantimes.com, livehindustan.com and livemint.com.
Nilanjana Bhaduri Jha, who will report to Rajeev Bansal, Chief Digital Officer, CEO, HT Digital Streams Ltd, has been appointed strategically to improve HT's focus on digital, keeping in mind her track record at NDTV Convergence.
Jha's appointment is an effort to better consolidate all digital operations at HT.
It has also been told to Exchange4Media that Shashi Shekhar, Editor-in-chief, Hindustan; Vinay Kamat, Editor, Mint and Sukumar Ranganathan, Editor-in-chief, Hindustan Times, have made a commitment to ensure that all journalists work for the digital operations as well.
Although earlier there were rumours that Prasad Sanyal, Group Editor (Digital), Zee Media would be replacing Nilanjana Bhaduri Jha, Sanyal completely denied this.
Deepshikha Ghosh, who is currently the Managing Editor, NDTV Online News, will be taking care of Jha's responsibilities until a new replacement is found.
