Marketing industry stalwarts to converge for Day 2 of e4m e-TechManch today

The fourth edition of the virtual conference and 11th edition of Indian Digital Marketing Virtual Awards ceremony - IDMA 2020 are set to take place today at 4.00 pm

Slated to take place on August 27 and August 28, the conference will feature leaders representing brands like Google, Microsoft, Coca-Cola, Tata Chemicals, Asian Paints, Starcom, WPP, PepsiCo, DAN, KFC, Mastercard, Air Asia India, Aditya Birla Capital, Titan and Future Group.

On Day Two of e-TechManch 2020,  Raja Rajamannar - Chief Marketing & Communications Officer and President, Healthcare, Mastercard will deliver a Keynote Session on 'Digital Marketing in the Time of Crisis.'

"We are in the midst of multiple crises. We have the health crisis, the economic crisis and there's the most unfortunate social crisis and there's a crisis of confidence. So as marketers, first and foremost, you recognise and realise that this is not the first or the last crisis. There is going to be a number of crises in the future. You need to have a risk management function within marketing in order to be able to quickly pivot to a crisis management mode when a crisis indeed materialises," he explained.

Having such a system in place two years ago at Mastercard ensured that the company is in good stead even during this time, according to Rajamannar.

He also believes that brands need to show up for their customers instead of "going dark" during this crucial period. Rajamannar also warns brands against unknowingly blending in by doing what everybody else is doing. "You have to make sure that you stand out and stand true," he stressed on.

Laurent Ezekiel, Chief Marketing & Growth Officer of WPP, will deliver a keynote on the topic 'The Future of Marketing.' 

In his session, Ezekiel will speak about how COVID-19 has accelerated business transformation with commerce and digital businesses seeing a strong boost and tech companies growing in size and influence. Ezekiel will share key learns from high growth sectors that will help brands adapt and build a bridge to the future.

Arvind Bhandari - Executive Vice President, Director Nutrition South Asia Region, Nestle will deliver a Keynote Session on 'Digital marketing aligned to classical marketing,' where he will discuss how marketers can leverage the shifting paradigms.  

On Day Two, a panel of marketing leaders will convene to discuss 'Digital Strategies to Survive and Thrive in the New Normal'. In this session, examine the extreme changes in the customer journey in recent months and how they have adjusted their digital marketing strategy to adapt to them.

Ajay Kakar - CMO, Aditya Birla Capital; Siddhartha Butalia - CMO, Air Asia India; Dilen Gandhi -  Sr. Director and Category Head- Foods, PepsiCo India; Moksh Chopra - CMO, KFC India; Nidhi Hola - Director Integrated Marketing, Microsoft; Ruchira Jaitly - CMO, HMD Global. The session chair for the discussion is Vivek Bhargava - CEO, DAN Performance Group, Dentsu Aegis Network.

Experts will comment on changing consumer behaviour and offer predictions about what the new customer journey may look like. They will also deliberate on the industries that are getting it right and the ones that are struggling to adapt in the new normal.
