The much-awaited e4m-iDAC is back with its third edition this year! The upcoming edition of the Independent Digital Agency Connect (iDAC) conference will be held on October 15 in Mumbai. One of the key highlights of the summit is a keynote address by Ratnakar Patnaik, Managing Director of LIC of India (LIC), on the topic 'Reimagining Legacy Brands for the Digital Age'.

At e4m-iDAC 2025, Patnaik will take the stage to explore how legacy brands can evolve and thrive in today’s fast-changing digital landscape. His session will shine light into the unique challenges faced by long-established institutions and how they can balance tradition with transformation to stay relevant in a digital-first world.

Ratnakar Patnaik was elevated to Managing Director of LIC of India in June 2025. He joined LIC of India in September 1990 as a Direct Recruit Officer. He is a Graduate with Physics (Honours) and holds Master's Degree in Public Administration. He is also Fellow of Insurance Institute of India and also holds a Diploma in Health Insurance. Prior to taking charge as Managing Director of LIC, Patnaik was Executive Director (Investment-Front Office) and Chief Investment Officer of the Corporation.

In a career span of 35 years with LIC, Patnaik has occupied important positions across many geographies. He was the Senior Divisional Manager of Indore and Jamshedpur Divisions and also worked as Regional Manager (Mktg/CLIA) in Eastern Zone. He has made his mark in the areas of Marketing, Customer Servicing and Investment in various capacities over the years.
