Anthropic, the artificial intelligence firm behind the Claude AI, is reportedly considering a public listing as early as October, according to Bloomberg. The move would place the company in direct competition with OpenAI Inc., which is also exploring an initial public offering (IPO).

The report also suggests that Anthropic has held preliminary discussions with Wall Street banks about leading roles in a potential IPO. Anthropic and OpenAI may turn to Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase and Morgan Stanley for their IPOs.

Earlier reporting by The Information suggested similar timelines, with valuations for Anthropic potentially exceeding $60 billion. Discussions are still underway, and no decisions have been made.
