Shavon Barua, Chief Client Officer, PHD India has stepped down from her position. Barua’s resignation came in barely a few months after Jyoti Bansal, who was the Chief Executive Officer, moved out from the organization in June this year. Barua, when contacted, confirmed the news but did not divulge much about her future plans or reasons for quitting. Official mail sent to PHD India did not see any response until the filing of this story.

Barua has been in the media industry for over two decades and has worked with agencies like Rediffusion, JWT and Havas Media Group to name a few.

PHD, which is part of OMG India, has been in the news in the last few months for changes in leadership positions. Two weeks ago, Monaz Todywalla was appointed as PHD India’s new Chief Executive Officer. Before joining PHD India, Todywalla held the role of Vice President of Growth & Strategy at Wavemaker India.

Prior to Todywalla's joining, on July 15 Kartik Sharma joined the organisation as Chief Executive Officer, OMG. Sharma, who was CEO South Asia for Wavemaker, succeeded Harish Shriyan who resigned from the post last year.
