Having spent more than a decade with the media group, he is now weighing out options to move on
Sanjay Bhatla, Vice President of Deccan Chronicle steps down after serving for a decade and more with the media company.
Having travelled most parts of India and abroad, Bhatla has transitioned across roles, right from sales officer to holding various key positions with companies, before becoming the Vice President of Deccan Chronicle.
He started his career with a small ad company, Adcon in Patna and then moved on to Kelvinator of India Limited as a sales officer in 1980. He then moved on to Samsung, LG, Videocon to reach the position of Deputy General Manager in his career. Bhatla has spent around 21 years working with consumer durable segments and media in sales and marketing.
He later forayed into the media industry, first with Dainik Bhaskar based out of Mumbai as Senior General Manager and moved internally to Divya Bhaskar too. He served at the Dainik Bhaskar group for 8 years, before moving on to Jagran 18 Publication Limited as National Sales Head.
Then, in the next strategic move, Bhatla joined Deccan Chronicle as Vice President. He is still planning with some options at hand to move further.
