Veteran communications professional Roma Balwani has re-joined Vedanta as Sr. Advisor, Brand & Group Corporate Communications. The development has been confirmed to exchange4media by Balwani.

 

Balwani was earlier associated with Vedanta as its President-Communications. As the President, she was responsible for Communications, Sustainability & CSR, and played a key role in the rebranding of Vedanta with a new logo that portrays Vedanta as a purpose driven organisation.

 

Prior to joining Vedanta in 2014, she headed communications at leading Indian companies such as Mahindra & Mahindra Limited and global firms such as UK-based travel portal ebookers.com. In a career spanning more than 30 years, she has received several prestigious communications awards for outstanding individual achievement. She also has the distinction of being included in the 50 Most Talented Sustainability Leaders list by World CSR Congress.

 

Balwani also supports disability sports and serves on the advisory board of Deaf Cricket Society. She successfully handled the 1st edition of Deaf-ICC World Cup T 20 held in 2018.
