Mayur Hola quits Havas Creative, joins OYO
Hola has updated his designation on Twitter to Head of Creative, India, and SE Asia - OYO
Mayur Hola who had recently joined Havas Creative as the National Creative Director has put in his papers. He has updated the designation on his Twitter profile to Head of Creative, India, and SE Asia - OYO.
This is the second high ranking Creative Head to have quit Havas in a gap of approximately six months, the first was Nima Namchu, then CCO of Havas Worldwide India who had resigned in November.
Hola had a rather short tenure at Havas, i.e. less than four months. Confirming the development Bobby Pawar, Chairman and Chief Creative Officer Havas Group India said “We wish Mayur well in his future endeavours and hope he excels in his quest to explore unchartered territories.”
Mayur Hola and OYO rooms were not available for comment at the time of filing the story.
Towards the end of last year there was a change in the leadership at Havas, with new positions being created like that of Group CEO assumed by Rana Barua and Chairman and Chief creative officer, Havas Group, a role assumed by Bobby Pawar. For the first time the media and creative units at Havas began working under a Group CEO.
Hola started his career in advertising with McCann as a writer, where he spent close to seven years over three stints. More recently he was with Contract Advertising. At McCann, he launched the life insurance brand PNB MetLife with its ‘Be Double Sure’ work, conceived Dish TV’s ‘Dish Sawaar Hai’ campaign and carried forward the Chevy Cruze brand for GM, in addition to the Nescafé campaign.
