Nand Kishore Goenka, father of Essel Group Chairman Dr Subhash Chandra, Ashok Goel, Jawahar Lal Goel and Laxmi Narain Goel, passed away on Monday. He was 96.
As per reports, his last rites will be performed on Wednesday morning at Goenka Udyan in Agroha after public viewings end in Mumbai. The mortal remains will be kept at the Mumbai residence today for darshan.
“Today morning our beloved father Nand Kishore Goenka, breathed his last. Though all in family are saddened. My desire is to celebrate his 96 year's life, which was full of samaj seva, cow seva,and national service as RSS sayam sevak”, Dr Subhash Chandra said in a post on X.
Reports state that the family will transport the mortal remains from Mumbai to Haryana for the last rites and the cremation ceremony will be held at Goenka Udyan in Agroha on Wednesday morning.
