Sameer Suneja joins Samsonite board as independent director

Sameer Suneja, CEO of Perfetti Van Melle Group, has been appointed as an independent non-executive director on the Board of Samsonite Group S.A.
Suneja announced his new role via a LinkedIn update, expressing his honor in joining the board.
He has been the Group CEO and Executive Director of Perfetti Van Melle Group B.V. since 2013, with prior roles in global innovations and business development.
Suneja has a background in marketing and brand management, with experience at Frito-Lay India and Colgate-Palmolive, and holds degrees from the University of Delhi and the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.

Perfetti Van Melle Group CEO Sameer Suneja has been appointed as an independent non-executive director on the Board of Samsonite Group S.A. The news has been shared by Suneja in a LinkedIn update.

“I’m honored to join the Board of Directors of Samsonite Group S.A. as an independent non-executive director,” he posted.

Suneja is currently serving as the Group CEO and Executive Director of Perfetti Van Melle Group B.V., a position he has held since 2013.

Prior to his appointment as Group CEO, Suneja served as the Executive Vice President Global Innovations and Business Development of Perfetti Van Melle Group B.V. from 2012 to 2013 and as the Managing Director of Perfetti Van Melle India Pvt. Ltd. from 2008 to 2012. From 1997 to 2007, Mr. Suneja held various leadership positions in Marketing at Perfetti Van Melle India Pvt. Ltd. and in Italy at Perfetti Van Melle S.p.A.

Prior to joining Perfetti Van Melle, Suneja worked as Brand Manager at Frito-Lay India, a wholly-owned subsidiary of PepsiCo Inc., as well as Brand Manager at Colgate-Palmolive (India) Ltd..

Suneja holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Economics from Hansraj College, University of Delhi and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.
