  • WPP shareholders have approved a remuneration package for CEO Cindy Rose that could total up to $14.8 million annually, significantly higher than the previous maximum of $10.8 million for former CEO Mark Read.
  • The approved compensation includes a base salary of $1.7 million, with potential increases based on achieving short-term and long-term incentive targets.
  • The decision was made at WPP's annual general meeting in London, where 75% of shareholders supported changes to the executive director remuneration policy.
  • Cindy Rose, who became CEO in July 2025, has outlined a multi-year strategic plan to transform WPP into a unified company focused on integrated, AI-enabled solutions across four core operating units and regions.

WPP shareholders have approved a remuneration package that could see Chief Executive Officer Cindy Rose earn up to $14.8 million annually.

As per news reports, under the approved compensation structure, Rose will receive a base salary of $1.7 million, with her total earnings rising significantly if both short-term and long-term incentive targets are achieved in full.

The package represents a notable increase from the maximum $10.8 million compensation arrangement that had been set for former CEO Mark Read, who stepped down in September 2025.

The proposal was approved at WPP’s annual general meeting held in London, where 75% of shareholders voted in favour of revisions to the company’s executive director remuneration policy.

Cindy Rose was appointed WPP CEO in July 2025.

This February, Cindy Rose said that the company was 'no longer a holding company' as she unveiled a multi-year strategic plan.
