Mankind Pharma to launch two brands, creative hunt on

Mankind Pharma, a large pharmaceutical company, is entering the eye care and skin treatment category and plans to launch two new products in the market soon. The company is looking for creative agencies to handle the two brands and has thus called for a creative pitch in the capital.

A source close to the development has confirmed the news to exchange4media informing, “The company is entering the eye care and skin treatment category and the products are ready. The names of the products haven’t been decided yet. Mankind Pharma intends to hire an agency and then take the process forward.”

It may be recalled that exchange4media had reported the pitch for two other Mankind brands, sugar sweetener Kaloree1 and Manforce Condoms, at the end of February. The account size for these brands was 15-20 crore.

Media duties for Mankind Pharmaceuticals are currently handled by Prachar Communications.

For the record, Mankind Pharma, a company incepted in 1995, is a fast growing pharmaceutical company heading towards an annual turnover of Rs 2,200 crore. The company’s offerings span categories such as antibiotics, antifungals, gastrointestinals, NSAIDs, anthelmintics, cardiovascular, etc. Some of the popular OTC and FMCG brands from Mankind Pharma include Unwanted72, Prega News, Kustody, Adiction, Gas-O-Fast, Manforce Condoms and Kaloree 1.
