Big FM initiates creative review

Big FM, part of Reliance Broadcast Network, has called for a creative review. The multi-agency pitch began a few days ago in New Delhi and is currently underway.

Various agencies have participated. The size of the account is substantial.

Confirming the development to exchange4media, Big FM said that the winning agency will get an opportunity to work with all the brands within the Reliance Broadcast Network Limited (RBNL) portfolio. The brand is looking for a single agency that will work across multiple platforms.

Big FM can be heard in 1200+ towns and close to 50,000 villages through its network of 45 stations and reaches out to four crore listeners, as per IRS and RAM data. The radio station is available in various languages such as Kannada, Telugu, Bengali, etc.

The channel innovative shows such as ‘Yaadon Ka Idiot Box’, a story telling format diffused with music and ‘Big Memsaab’, with Karisma Kapoor as a RJ.

The FM radio industry since Phase II (2006) has been generating over Rs 1,100 crore in advertising revenues annually. The industry is now slated to enter the third phase of expansion, with 227 new cities being added. Phase III is likely to witness the entry of new players and consolidation amongst the existing ones.
