Samsonite India reviews its media business
Samsonite India is reviewing the media duties of its entire portfolio and has invited some media agencies. Karishma Initiative is the incumbent agency. Sudip Ghose, Director - Marketing, Samsonite South Asia, has confirmed the review call.
Samsonite India is reviewing the media duties of its entire portfolio and has invited some media agencies. Sudip Ghose, Director - Marketing, Samsonite South Asia, has confirmed the review call.
Ghose categorically stated that the group was reviewing its media business to get fresher ideas and a newer perspective. The review includes media agencies by invitation, which included Mindshare, Starcom Mediavest, OMD, Madison and incumbent agency Karishma Initiative.
“It’s not like we are not happy with our existing agency. But after the review, whichever agency has more numbers of ‘wow’ factors than the existing ‘wows’ we currently have, will decide our decision for a new media partner,” Ghose added.
He further said that the group was looking to invest Rs 50 crore on its media spend as it had exhaustive plans for marketing around their new launches and existing brands. Contract Advertising continues to be the creative agency. It may be noted that in 2009, Contract was appointed as the creative AOR. Prior to that TBWA\India was handing the creative business.
