
This week we witnessed Rajan Anandan VP, Southeast Asia and India, Google win the IMPACT Person of the Year 2018 Award, while WPP unveiled its radical evolution plan, which included major restructuring and cutting of 3,500 jobs.
The week gone by was also one of big pitches and account wins with Chinese smartphone maker calling for a media pitch worth Rs 200 crore, while IPG Mediabrands' Initiative retained Reckitt Benckiser account worth Rs 450 crore. There were several interesting appointments this week as Wavemaker global CEO Tim Castree was appointed as CEO of GroupM, North America, and Uday Shankar was named as Chairman of Star & Disney India and President of The Walt Disney Company APAC.
As the week came to a close, the exchange4media flagship India PR & Corporate Communications 2018 Awards (IPRCCC Awards) kicked off with Adfactors PR, Genesis Burson-Marstellar and Viacom 18 winning big.
