So, to honour the talented, new age talent of the PR & Comms industry, e4m launched the 4th edition of PR & Corp Comm 30 under 30 Awards.
In this series, the winner of e4m PR & Corp Comm 30 under 30 Awards, Manvika Sagar, Manager, Value 360 Communication talks about her win, inspiration, passion for the industry, and future goals.
1.How does it feel to be recognized as one of the top 30 under 30 professionals in the PR and Communications industry, and what does this achievement mean to you?
It feels like a true hat-trick! Being recognized as one of the top 30 under 30 professionals in PR and Communications for the third consecutive year is not only a moment of immense pride but also a testament to the power of dedication and perseverance.
This recognition from the esteemed E4M platform not only validates the hard work and perseverance that have shaped my career but also reinforces the mantra that "hard work truly pays off." It serves as a reminder that success in this industry is built on continuous learning, adaptability, and staying true to one’s core values.
As a PR professional, this achievement is deeply meaningful—it underscores the impact of strategic thinking, creative storytelling, and the power of meaningful relationships in shaping public perception. The responsibility of being acknowledged in such a way also motivates me to continue pushing boundaries, to innovate and lead with purpose. It compels me to aim for even greater milestones, not only for personal growth but for the betterment of the industry as a whole.
2.What new trends and innovations would you expect to see in the PR and Communications industry in the next 5 years, and how do you plan to adapt and evolve to stay ahead?
In the next five years, the PR and Communications industry is poised for a transformative shift, driven by the ever-expanding role of artificial intelligence (AI) and evolving trends in digital engagement. AI is already reshaping the way businesses operate, from predicting ROI to influencing purchasing decisions, and its impact on PR will only grow stronger. As AI continues to dominate the conversation, I see several key trends emerging.
Trend 1: AI PR Professionals
We’re already witnessing AI-driven journalism, with several media outlets employing AI tools for content creation and news dissemination. In the coming years, AI will not only play a role in content generation but will also evolve into AI PR professionals. These AI-powered entities will manage media outreach, analyze sentiment, and even craft tailored communications, making PR campaigns more precise and efficient. The future of PR will see an integration of AI to streamline processes, enhance strategy, and deliver personalized experiences at scale.
Trend 2: Influencer Collaborations Taking the Lead
Influencer collaborations are already a cornerstone of modern PR, but in the future, we can expect a more significant shift. Celebrities, once the go-to choice for brand partnerships, will take a back seat as influencers gain more credibility and trust among audiences. Their ability to provide real-time, authentic content, often with a more relatable connection to followers, will make them increasingly indispensable for driving ROI in PR campaigns. Influencers, particularly micro-influencers, will become the trusted voices in the consumer decision-making process, offering cost-effective solutions with high engagement rates.
Trend 3: Immersive Storytelling with AR/VR
As augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) technologies continue to mature, PR professionals will harness these immersive tools to craft dynamic, interactive brand experiences. Whether it’s through virtual press conferences, immersive brand activations, or virtual product trials, AR/VR will allow brands to engage audiences on an entirely new level. PR campaigns will no longer be limited to static content; instead, they will offer fully interactive, multi-sensory experiences that resonate deeply with consumers.
Trend 4: Data-Driven Personalization
The demand for personalized, targeted communications will continue to rise. With the vast amount of data available, PR professionals will rely more heavily on analytics to tailor campaigns to specific audience segments. From real-time content adjustments to predictive analytics that gauge the success of a campaign, PR will become increasingly data-driven. The ability to measure and adjust strategies in real-time will be key to staying ahead in an environment where consumer behavior evolves rapidly.
Trend 5: Ethical Communication and Purpose-Driven PR
As consumers demand more transparency, the role of ethics in PR will grow in importance. Brands will increasingly be expected to take a stand on social issues and demonstrate a commitment to sustainability, diversity, and inclusivity. PR professionals will be tasked with ensuring that brand messages align with societal expectations and that companies remain accountable for their actions. Ethical communication will become a cornerstone of any successful PR strategy, as businesses work to build trust and loyalty in an informed, socially-conscious world.
To stay ahead of these trends, I plan to continuously upskill in AI and data analytics tools, ensuring I can leverage these technologies to create smarter, more impactful campaigns. Additionally, I’ll focus on building expertise in immersive technologies like AR and VR, exploring how they can be incorporated into client strategies. As the industry evolves, I’m committed to staying adaptable, embracing innovation, and leading with purpose in the PR space.
3. As a rising star in the industry, what skills or areas do you identify as crucial for your continued growth and success, and how do you plan to develop them?
As a young PR professional, I understand that remaining adaptable and consistently enhancing my skill set is crucial for long-term success. A key focus area for my development is integrating data and digital tools into PR strategies. With the growing dominance of digital platforms, it’s essential to learn how to utilize data analytics and audience insights to inform and drive effective campaigns. To strengthen my capabilities in this area, I am dedicated to deepening my expertise in digital tools and analytics platforms, enabling me to craft highly targeted and impactful PR initiatives.
By concentrating on areas like digital media, data-driven decision-making, compelling storytelling, and leadership development, I am committed to evolving my skills. This approach will ensure that I am well-prepared to shape successful PR strategies that drive meaningful results in a dynamic and ever-changing industry.
4. What impact do you hope to make in the PR and Communications industry in the industry 5-10 years from now?
In the next 5-10 years, I aspire to make a meaningful impact on the PR and Communications industry and become a role model for future generations of PR professionals. My goal is to inspire and mentor emerging talent, helping them grow and thrive in their careers. I also aim to establish myself as a subject matter expert, earning recognition for my contributions to the field. Additionally, I am committed to creating employment opportunities for passionate individuals eager to enter the industry, fostering a new wave of talent and innovation.
