CCL inaugurates national PR Conclave–2025 at Ranchi

Central Coalfields Limited (CCL), a subsidiary of Coal India Limited, inaugurated the National PR Conclave–2025 at the Gangotri Convention Centre, CCL Headquarters, Ranchi on October 8, 2025. The two-day conclave is an important milestone in advancing dialogue, trust, and innovation in the ever-evolving domain of public relations. This year’s theme is “Redefining PR: From Information to Engagement in the Era of Digitalization”.

This landmark event, the first-ever National PR Conclave organized by CCL in Jharkhand, is envisioned to redefine the PR landscape by inspiring a new generation of communicators committed to fostering transparency, authenticity, and meaningful engagement.

The inaugural ceremony was graced by Mr. Vinay Ranjan, Director (HR), Coal India Limited (CIL), as the Chief Guest. The event also witnessed the presence of distinguished personalities including renowned filmmaker and ad guru Mr. Prahlad Kakkar; veteran journalist Padma Shri Balbir Dutt; Mr. Nilendu Kumar Singh, Chairman-cum-Managing Director, CCL; Mr. Satish Jha, CMD, ECL; Mr. Pawan Kumar Mishra, Director (Finance), CCL; Mr. Harsh Nath Mishra, Director (Personnel), CCL; Mr. Shankar Nagachari, Director (Technical–P&P), CCL; Mr. Pankaj Kumar, CVO, CCL; Prof. K.G. Suresh, Director, Indian Habitat Centre; Dr. Surbhi Dahiya, HOD (MBS), IIMC; and Prof. Devvrat Singh, HOD, CUJ.

The inaugural session commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, followed by the rendition of Coal India’s corporate song and a Ganesh Vandana performed by children. A short film titled “Khaamosh”, produced by CCL’s Corporate Communications Department, was screened during the ceremony that precisely represented the evolving nature of public relations in the digital era.

The conclave witnessed enthusiastic participation from PR professionals, officials from Coal India subsidiaries and public sector enterprises, media representatives, and students from across the country. Faculty members and students from leading universities and colleges in Ranchi came together to appreciate CCL’s efforts in providing an engaging and insightful platform for exploring the emerging dimensions of communication and reputation management.

Under the visionary leadership of Mr. Nilendu Kumar Singh, CCL continues to set benchmarks across coal production, public relations, CSR, HR, and environmental initiatives. The National PR Conclave–2025 reinforces CCL’s commitment to bridging knowledge, innovation, and social partnership, strengthening its position as a model organization within the Coal India family and the public sector at large.
