Some people you meet through work stay firmly in the ‘work’ category. And then there are people like Bhaskar, people you simply enjoyed knowing.
We used to exchange brief texts long before I met him in person, when I needed some help with industry connections or was looking for suggestions. He was always open, generous and wonderfully easy to talk to.
What I especially remember is how I would pull his leg about not including those of us from Hyderabad in WhatsApp groups like CommsAdda and others. He would respond with playful indignation, but then make a genuine effort to bring me into the conversations.
That was Bhaskar naturally inclusive, with a way of making everyone feel part of the conversation, regardless of who they were.
I will remember him not just as a respected industry peer, but as someone whose company I genuinely cherished. Rest in peace my friend.
