Varun Malik has been appointed as Series Development Manager at Amazon Prime Video. Malik shared the news of his new innings through a LinkedIn post.
“Thrilled to share that I'm embarking on an exciting new chapter! After an incredible journey of almost six years at Hotstar, where I had the privilege of developing and producing nearly 26 captivating shows and movies, I'm ready for a fresh challenge. I am now eager to bring my passion for storytelling and production expertise to Amazon Prime Video as Series Development Manager, and I'm looking forward to contributing to their innovative and diverse content slate. Stay tuned for what's next”, the LinkedIn post read.
Prior to this, Varun Malik was with Disney+ Hotstar as Associate Director Content Hotstar Specials where he was responsible for scouting & developing talent, stories, scripts and production partners.
In his previous stints, Varun Malik has worked with Times Network, Star TV, Endemol Shine India, among others.
