The Indian Supercross Racing League (ISRL) has named Arun Kumar Rao as its President of Commercial Partnerships.
Rao brings more than 25 years of experience across the sports, media, entertainment, advertising, and marketing sectors. He has strong expertise in sponsorships, brand partnerships, revenue generation, and creating successful business properties.
In his new position, Rao will oversee ISRL’s commercial growth plans. His focus will be on developing long-term brand partnerships, creating new revenue opportunities, and strengthening the league’s presence as a premium motorsports platform for brands targeting young audiences in India.
During his career, Rao has worked with companies and organizations such as HAVAS PLAY, Disney India, The Times of India Group, Odisha FC in the Indian Super League, DSPORTS, Dish TV India, 9XM Media, FTV India, TBWA India, and Percept Communication. He has built a strong reputation in sports marketing, sponsorships, branded content, experiential campaigns, OTT monetisation, and media strategy.
Speaking about his appointment, Arun Kumar Rao said that ISRL combines racing, entertainment, fan engagement, lifestyle culture, and the automotive industry on one platform. He added that the league has already shown strong growth and future promise, and he is excited to create a commercial structure that delivers value to partners while helping motorsports become a bigger youth entertainment category in India.
Veer Patel, Managing Director and Co-Founder of ISRL, said Rao’s experience in commercial strategy and partnership building will be valuable as the league expands further. He added that Rao’s industry network and leadership will help strengthen the league’s commercial ecosystem and support its long-term growth plans.
ISRL is supported by Bollywood actor Salman Khan, who is associated with the league as both brand ambassador and investor. Over the past two seasons, the league has seen growth in stadium attendance, television viewership, online engagement, and brand participation. It has also emerged as a strong experiential platform for automotive, mobility, lifestyle, and consumer-focused brands looking to connect with younger audiences.
