Piyush Gupta will take on the role of Chairman, India, at Temasek in an advisory, non-executive capacity from December 1, 2025.

In this role, he will work closely with Ravi Lambah and the India team to guide investment decisions, support portfolio companies in exploring growth opportunities, and represent Temasek in discussions with government and industry leaders in India.

Gupta previously served as CEO of DBS Group from 2009 to 2025, where he led the bank’s digital transformation and expanded its presence across the region, helping it grow into a leading global financial institution. He currently holds positions such as Deputy Chairman of Keppel, Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Singapore Management University, and Chairman of Mandai Park Holdings, while also advising several organisations.

Commenting on the appointment, Dilhan Pillay said that Gupta’s extensive experience and strong industry relationships will add significant value. He noted that alongside Ravi Lambah’s leadership, Gupta will help strengthen Temasek’s network, enhance its presence in India, and support future growth opportunities.

Gupta said he is pleased to take on this role and looks forward to working with the India team. He added that he aims to build stronger partnerships, explore new opportunities, and contribute to Temasek’s continued growth in the country.
