  • Ashok Reddy will transition to the role of Executive Vice Chairman and will assist Mitra in strategic initiatives and business opportunities during the transition.
  • Suparna Mitra previously served as CEO of the Watches & Wearables Division at Titan Company Limited and has over 30 years of experience in digital transformation and large organization management.
  • The leadership change aims to drive stronger margins, faster growth, and deeper institutionalization for TeamLease, with a focus on enhancing India's employment landscape.

TeamLease Services Limited has announced the appointment of Suparna Mitra as its new Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer (MD & CEO). She will take over the role on February 2, 2026, succeeding Ashok Reddy, the current MD & CEO. The announcement was made following approval from the Board of Directors. Manish Sabharwal will step down from his executive duties but will continue on the board as a Non-Executive Non-Independent Director, while Narayan Ramachandran will remain the Chairman.

In his new role as Executive Vice Chairman, Ashok will work closely with Suparna to ensure a smooth transition. He will also support her on long-term strategy, key projects, and new business opportunities.

Commenting on the leadership change, Ashok said, “This transition is a natural step for Manish and me. Our executive responsibilities were always separate from our roles as board members and shareholders. The next phase for TeamLease—stronger margins, faster growth, and deeper institutionalisation—needs fresh leadership. Suparna brings strategic clarity, strong consumer understanding, and a technology-first mindset that will further strengthen TeamLease’s mission of putting India to work.”

Suparna joins TeamLease from Titan Company Limited, where she previously served as CEO of the Watches & Wearables Division. She is an alumna of IIM Calcutta and Jadavpur University, where she earned her MBA and Electrical Engineering degree respectively. She began her career as a management trainee at Hindustan Lever Limited, later worked with Arvind Brands as Business Head for Lee, and joined Titan in 2006 as Global Marketing Head. Over the years, she took on major leadership roles at Titan. Under her leadership, Titan’s Watches & Wearables division doubled its revenue in three years to reach ₹4,500 crore in FY 2024–25, strengthened leadership in premium watches, and built a fast-growing wearables business. She brings over 30 years of experience in digital transformation, retail, e-commerce, and managing large organisations with thousands of employees.

Suparna also serves on the Board of Swiggy as an independent director and is a Member of the Board of Governors at IIM Kozhikode.

Speaking about her new role, Suparna said, “I am honoured to join TeamLease at such an important time for India’s employment landscape. TeamLease has built a strong foundation across staffing, skilling, and compliance, impacting millions of people each year. I look forward to working with the Board and the leadership team to drive the next stage of growth, digital innovation, and social impact.”

Chairman Narayan Ramachandran added, “We are excited to welcome Suparna as the new MD & CEO. She is a proven transformation leader who has successfully scaled large consumer and tech-focused businesses. Her strategic thinking, customer understanding, and technology experience make her the right leader for TeamLease’s next chapter.”

He also expressed deep appreciation for Manish and Ashok, saying, “Their entrepreneurial leadership has shaped TeamLease into India’s leading human capital company—listed, profitable, and purpose-driven. Over 25 years, TeamLease has grown to revenues of over ₹11,000 crore, expanded to 800+ locations across India, and achieved 4x EBITDA growth since listing. They guided the company through major economic challenges, including the 2008 recession and the 2020–21 pandemic, while expanding into areas such as NETAP, specialised staffing, HRTech, RegTech, and EdTech. Their work has shaped millions of careers and contributed to labour market reforms. We look forward to their continued guidance in their new roles.”
