Rambabu Sanka takes charge as Director Technical at Finolex

Finolex Industries Limited has appointed Udipt Agarwal as Managing Director effective November 1, 2025, and Rambabu Sanka as Director – Technical effective August 2, 2025.
Udipt Agarwal, 56, has over 30 years of experience in chemicals and specialty materials, with a focus on operations and market expansion in Asia.
Rambabu Sanka, 63, brings nearly 40 years of expertise in chemical manufacturing, particularly in VCM and PVC operations, aimed at enhancing the company's technical capabilities.
The appointments follow the retirement of former Managing Director Saurabh Dhanorkar and former Director – Technical Saumya Chakrabarti, with the Executive Chairman expressing gratitude for their contributions.

Finolex Industries Limited has announced key changes to its senior leadership team. Udipt Agarwal has assumed the role of Managing Director with effect from November 1, 2025, while Rambabu Sanka has been appointed Director – Technical, effective August 2, 2025.

Udipt Agarwal, aged 56, brings over three decades of experience across the chemicals, bio-industrial and specialty materials sectors. A B.Tech graduate from HBTI Kanpur and an INSEAD alumnus, he has a strong background in operations, business leadership and market expansion across Asian markets. His wide-ranging industry exposure is expected to play an important role in driving Finolex’s next stage of growth.

Rambabu Sanka, 63, comes with close to 40 years of experience in chemical manufacturing, with a particular focus on VCM and PVC operations. His expertise in plant operations and process improvement is set to further strengthen the company’s technical capabilities and manufacturing excellence.

Commenting on the appointments, Prakash P. Chhabria, Executive Chairman of Finolex Industries, said the company is pleased to welcome both leaders. He noted that Agarwal’s strategic mindset and industry knowledge align well with Finolex’s long-term vision, while Sanka’s technical depth will support innovation and operational efficiency. He added that their combined leadership will help the company continue delivering value to customers, partners and shareholders.

These appointments follow the retirement of Saurabh Dhanorkar, former Managing Director, and Saumya Chakrabarti, former Director – Technical. Chhabria thanked both outgoing leaders for their significant contributions, stating that their leadership has laid a strong foundation for the company’s future, and extended his best wishes to them for the next phase of their journeys.
