News18 India restructures Input team; Amit Shukla to lead entire desk

News18 India has made significant changes to its input team to make it faster, stronger, and more efficient. Amit Shukla, who previously handled network input, has now been given responsibility for the entire News18 India input desk. He will oversee all input operations, including the assignment desk, reporter team, guest team, and VJ team. He will also work with the output desk and digital team to improve the flow of content.
Senior journalist Amit Chaudhary will now handle the day-to-day operations of the assignment desk. He will oversee special reports, major editorial plans, breaking news, and coordination with reporters on the ground.
Shaila Jafri will continue in her previous role and will be a strong pillar of the assignment desk. She has been with News18 for a long time and understands the channel's operations well. Shaila will continue to handle important tasks such as preparing for big news days, major events, and story planning.
In the new structure, both Amit Chaudhary and Shaila will report to Amit Shukla, who will report directly to the channel head. Amitabh Sinha will continue to oversee all operations as before.
